By the late 1800s, physicists were kind of feeling proud of themselves. They had these fancy theories that could explain all sorts of crazy phenomena, like how planets move and how light refracts when it passes through a glass prism. People even heard that students were being told not to bother with physics as a career because they thought all the big problems had already been figured out. Back then, people believed that matter and energy were two separate things. Matter was supposed to be made up of tiny particles with mass, and you could pin down exactly where they were in space. On the other hand, energy, like light (which they called electromagnetic radiation), was seen as waves. It didn't have mass and was spread out, so you couldn't really say where it was in space. Plus, they thought matter and light didn't mix at all. Everything they knew before 1900 seemed to fit nicely into this way of thinking. My father and I don't always see eye to eye. Not because I'm just that short but because we express what we are feeling differently. For me, I prefer bottling it up because I don't want to feel like I'm burdening others. My dad, on the other hand, sucks it up and moves on. However, one thing we can agree on is music.   I would say my love for music started in all those car rides I would go on. Every ride was a new adventure and any time I sat in my father's car, he would flip through every radio station to find a song he liked which was almost always some form of 80s alt/indie rock. The Cure , Tears for Fears , and The Smiths were always good options for cruising down highways. Depeche Mode was always a personal favorite of mine. Eventually my taste in music began to grow and evolve. I started broadening what I listened to. It's hard to imagine life beyond our own. The only experiences we can only truly know are the ones that we live. Everyone processes things differently and all of them are inherently unique as well. I find myself trying to view things from different perspectives, but the concept of every single person on this planet having their own day to day lives is much too grand to even begin to understand.  For example, that kid that pushed you in the halls as you tried to go to class might have needed to see their teacher urgently because they have a test and they needed clarification. However, in the hustle and bustle, you probably just assumed that they are simply a rude person with no sense of personal space. Every other person there are individual beings as well and are also probably as annoyed and stressed out as you are. That kid who cried because they failed a test maybe isn't dramatic and may be up for a verbal battle with their parents. And maybe that kid who constantly is refus...

Everyone knows that when the OceanGate Submarine imploded , that's basically all that was on the news for an entire two weeks. Memes also became rampant, so if you didn't hear about it on TV, then you probably learned about it elsewhere. However, while these 4 rich people died, there was actually another ship that capsized off the coast of the Mediterranean Sea that killed roughly 600 people on board . And few were talking about it. This begs the question of how news sources (and media in general) decide which stories are important enough to talk about. Of course, all news channels are politically biased to help cater to their viewers . CNN, for instance, is more left leaning, while FOX News is more conservative. Regardless, if a person happens to be more politically active, then they are more likely to be debated about on live television.  Another factor (from what I have noticed) is that the more money you have, the more people will choose to talk about you.
